Research Policy
In 2006, the Cégep of Saint-Jérôme adopted a Research Integrity Policy to promote and support all pedagogical, technological and disciplinary research initiatives, and to insure the integrity of the work carried out by its scientific personnel (particularly CTTC client businesses). .
All ITAQ project technicians, engineers/researchers and teachers are subject to this policy, which defines the responsibilities and obligations with regard to the management of research work and technology transfer projects.
This policy deals with intellectual property (IP) of research results, patents, goods produced or purchased during research projects, project confidentiality, etc. It also outlines several principles that will eventually serve as a guide in conflict of interest or improper conduct disputes.
Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Program Admissibility
In April 2007, after a 2-year accreditation process, the Cégep of Saint-Jérôme was granted admission to NSERC programs. Consequently, ITAQ now has access to these programs as well.
Confidentiality Conditions
ITAQ mandates are carried out in physical and material conditions which conform to the highest standards of confidentiality. We restrict access to our laboratories and monitor all comings and goings. Our technicians, engineers and interns are subject to the Research Integrity Policy of the Cégep of Saint-Jérôme. In addition to the preceding provisions, information confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements are usually signed for all projects (ITAQ or client contracts).
