Our advanced propulsion laboratory has a full range of leading-edge equipment and components for advanced propulsion systems and a generic test vehicle entirely designed by ITAQ. This new universal, modular progressive platform concept will allow a standardization of test practices during the validation of advanced systems.

The acquisition and installation of our R&D equipment was made possible by the financial assistance from the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI), the Government of Québec and 16 private-sector partners: a project valued at $5.4 million.

Ultracapacitor modules 80 Farads 48 Volts Ultracapacitor modules The modules are specifically engineered for hybrid vehicle drive trains, automotive subsystems and other heavy duty applications that require the lowest equivalent series resistance (ESR) and highest efficiency available. In addition to meeting or exceeding demanding automotive and transportation application requirements for both watt-hours of energy storage and watts of power delivery per kilogram, all of these products will perform reliably for more than one million discharge-recharge cycles. The modules can be arrayed in series or parallel configurations to provide instantly available power for higher voltage applications.
